Approval of Draft Constitution (2023)
Main changes since Issue 1 (June 2019):
1. Aim of Scout Group section removed
2. References to "Executive Committee" replace by "Trustee Board"
3. A few minor changes to conduct of AGM
4. Removal of Group Scouters Meeting section
Since last message (sent 14 Sep):
- Removed any need for declaration of investment policy (we don't plan to invest any money)
- Added back definition of quorum (please check you are happy with this - it's towards the end)
- Removed need for 75% approval to carry any online/email decision (we'll continue to run with a majority decision regardless of format)
- Deleted irrelevant text about being a charity or not (eg, "(if the Scout Group is a registered charity) or ...")
I approve the draft (version 2) of the Constitution to be presented to the Dunning Scout Group Council on 24 September 2023, as currently stated at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-N8UGeCZCJF33GXef5RE6l8jusiwm1vZAoDdFwVKSmo/edit?usp=sharing
