Our annual chance to meet up and present awards: open to everyone: Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders, Explorers, Volunteers, parents, family and invited local members of the community.
We'll have a very brief AGM - the formal part takes us less than 30 minutes - then time to hear from our sections, present a few awards and a chance to eat and chat. Once the AGM closes we'll provide some food for everyone. Agenda, annual report and slight changes to the constitution are attached to this page. Note that all adults (leaders, trustees, parents, siblings & invited community members), plus the Explorers and Young Leaders are members of the Group Scout Council and can vote.
Trustees
Part of the AGM will be electing Trustees, who represent the views of parents, manage and improve our resources, help the Group run effectively and legally, and–critically–support our Leaders and young people. That helps us provide an adventurous and exciting programme of meetings and events for the Young People in the Group. Have a chat with any Leader or Trustee about what the role involves - or whether you can support the Group in another way.
Anyone over 18 years old who wishes to support the Scout Group as a Trustee can be nominated and elected at this meeting: Why Should I Become a Scouts Trustee? - although please let the Chair know beforehand if you're interested chair@dunning.rocks
